Emmy Buckingham
International and Membership Manager at the Association of Independent Music (AIM)
AIM exists to support and represent independent music companies in the UK. As part of the membership team she supports the 800+ members and Friends of AIM, managing benefits as well as growing the association. In 2016 she became International Manager, strengthening export opportunities for members and overseeing AIM’s industry trade mission partnerships.
After working at world renown drum and bass label Hospital Records Emmy joined the association in 2011 as Membership Manager of the festival division (AIF). She then began working for the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) which represents independents music companies and their national trade associations worldwide. Here Emmy led a global marketing campaign for WIN’s Fair Digital Deals Declaration, which saw over 1000 independent labels around the world pledge to pay their artists transparently and fairly. She also created WINTEL the ground-breaking research report into the true value of the global independent market.
